New Hampshire Artists gathered this weekend at the Bartlett Inn for their bi annual Artist Weekend.  This is a fun 3 day weekend where artists of all skill levels gather and paint Plein Air!  This means they paint outside on sight.  This weekend they enjoyed a demo by New Hampshire Artist Byron Carr at the Jackson Falls in Jackson New Hampshire.  All 9 Artists then set up their easels at the edge of the falls and painted enjoying the high water from the rain, the waining foliage and the ever changing light!  We are looking forward to this evening where all the artists show their weekends works around the Bartlett Inn fireside and share ideas,  techniques and humour!.  Join us on our next New Hampshire Artists White Mountain Painting Weekend this May 2013 at the Bartlett Inn.  Call 1800 292 2353.

With a sunny 85 degree day anticipated the innkeeper and kids set off for Whales Tail Water Park Lincoln New Hampshire this week.  What a perfect day!  Warm but not humid and a lovely drive over the Kankmangus Highway from the Bartlett Inn only 30 miles!  We set up camp at the wave pool and they had a fun party atmosphere with music playing all day long that the kids kept dancing to.  Teh kids even commented ont eh beautiful clear vie of the mountain s alla round us. The lines were minimal and moved quickly and the park is a good size where you can do all the rides and also find time to relax in the giant hottubs.  Favorite ride is still the Eye of the Storm (we call it the toilet bowl…beacuase it is like being flushed away!) All the rides are fun and big enough to thrill even the teenagers!  Stay at the Bartlett Inn and enjoy a full breakfast before heading out to the Whales Tail Water Park Lincoln New Hampshire.  On the way home to the Bartlett Inn we even saw a mama moose and baby on the Kancmagus Highway Rte 112.  Call 1800 292 2353.

Attitash Water Slides Attitash Mountain Coaster Attitash Alpine Slide and other Attractions were enjoyed this week by the innkeepers and friends.  It was a perfect warm day.  Both Attitash water-slides were enjoyed by the kids although I think they preferred the one with the mat.  There was never a line and it is fast and swervy!  The tubing water slide was fun too especially the triple that let all 3 of us go together!  The key to this one is to get out of the pool quickly or you get smashed by the next tuber coming in as the current is strong!  The timing of our day was perfect as we got on the line for the Attitash climbing wall with only one person in front of us.  The kids loved this and one even made it to the top.  We did the Attitash EuroBungy Trampoline 2 times.  The wait for this is always long…just 8 people in front of us and we waited 45 minutes.   The 2nd time the line was shorter and we waited 20 minutes.  The kids enjoyed this and did front and back somersaults!!  Attitash Mountain Coaster was timed well and at 200 PM the line was short…this is fast and furious!  The line for the Attitash  Alpine Slide and Scenic Chair Lift were also shorter at this time.  Once 230 hits the people arrive for the afternoon pass and the lines get very long.  So our tip is get the items with long lines in first and then enjoy the Attitash water slides all afternoon long!  Stay at the Bartlett Inn and receive a discounted ticket to the Attitash Water Slides Attitash Mountain Coaster Attitash Alpine Slide Day Pass call 1800 292 2353.
