We did it again – the Family Friendly White Mountain Hike to Zealand Falls ! This

time in summer and it was perfect! We did the Family Friendly White Mountain Hike to Zealand Falls AMC Hut. It gave a great variety of terrain including forest, streams, bog/swamp, waterfalls and views all the way into the Pemigewassett Wilderness! This is approx 3 miles long and flat except for the last couple of hundred yards up tot he hut and the falls. You can also view the falls from below! We enjoyed out own packed lunch but some of the crew also ate at the hut. The food was good. Then the kids filled in a children’s naturalist booklet from the AMC and were sworn in as junior naturalists by an AMC huts man and received a patch! They were very proud of themselves!
