Bartlett Inn is Pet Friendly in Bartlett, NH
The Bartlett Inn has a tradition of welcoming pets in our cottages so that the whole family can come along for vacation. We enjoy providing Pet Friendly Lodging New Hampshire at the Bartlett Inn. This service is just $15 per pet per stay (this is a great price!). Many guests who stay at the Bartlett Inn enjoy going to StoryLand – which is also Pet Friendly! What a combo – Pet friendly lodging here in beautiful mountains of New Hampshire and StoryLand for the day!
FAQ: Is StoryLand Pet Friendly – just like the Bartlett Inn is! Here is the information right from their website: Pet Kennels:
Available for use FREE of charge on a first come, first served basis. They may be found next to the train depot in the north end of our main parking lot. We have 26 kennels (16 square feet with roofs), double locked and attended by our Park Services personnel. If no one is present please press the pager button next to the kennel entrance.
FAQ: Can we bring our dog Cross Country Skiing? – you bet – the Bear Notch Ski Touring is right our back door and is Pet Friendly.
FAQ: Can you suggest a good hiking trail for us? Absolutely – we hike with our dog all the time and have covered a lot of the trails throughout the White Mountains. Let us know what you are looking for and we absolutely can make a suggestion, waterfalls, great views, kid friendly, off the beaten path – you name it – we can help you have a wonderful hiking experience with your dog.
OK – here are the rules – we are sure that you are a responsible dog person – but we have to write it out – just in case!!!
Prior approval of the pet and a valid credit card imprint with signature are required.
Pets are welcome in our Cottages when their owners are present; the Inn is pet free.
Please do not leave your pets unattended when you leave the Inn premises. While in the room pets should be in their crate – we are happy to discuss this and any part of the policy.
Please keep pets off of the furniture (especially the beds). A laundering charge of $50 will automatically be deducted from your credit card if it is necessary for us to launder the duvets/blankets/pillows etc. If your pet is a high shedder please let us know – you can have the option of paying the laundering fee or bringing your own blankets.
Please do not bathe your pets in our bathtubs or showers (we have two water spigots on the property, which you may use if you wish to clean your pets). If you need towels to dry your pet, please ask our staff and we will provide you with older towels to do so.
Please clean up dog waste on Inn grounds and in the surrounding woods. If you need a plastic bag for pick up and disposal, our staff will be more than happy to provide one. Please use common sense in toileting your dog i.e. please do not allow them to defecate, urinate in the children’s play area, near the pool, at the building entries or on the edible blueberry and blackberry bushes or the flowers. There is a $40 fee for the Bartlett Inn to have to pick up your dog waste and it will automatically be added to the room charges.
Please leash your pet at all times as the Bartlett Inn is surrounded by National Forest and thus may have various other animals who may wander through the yard. There may also be other guests and their pets on the grounds.
Pets are not permitted inside the pool gated area and may not be leashed to the pool fence.
If your pet has an encounter with a skunk do not allow the pet back into the cottage. If the cottage suffers skunk damage you will be responsible for all charges to replace mattress, bedding, carpeting, flooring and any other damage.
The minimum cleaning fee for dog urination in the room is $55. This is the bare minimum – you will also be charged for each day’s loss of sale if we cannot resell the cottage because of the damages until we are able to repair the damages. If the urine penetrates the carpet pad, our mattresses and/or the wood you will pay for all replacement costs and labor for these repairs.
The rate for any necessary repairs due to pet damage is the cost of material, the cost of travel and $40 per hour labor and/or the charge of the professional services required, this includes but is not limited to special cleaning by the inn keeper/housekeeper or professional services. You will also be charged the applicable room rate for loss of sale for each day we are not able to sell the room until the repairs can be made.
The Bartlett Inn would like to continue to offer a pet friendly place for family’s to vacation; We appreciate your cooperation and consideration for all guests so that we will be able to carry on this tradition!
