Innkeepers Nick and Miriam at the Bartlett Inn NH tested conditions yesterday; it really is part of our job! We skied (actually snow boarded) at Attitash just 2 miles east of the Bartlett Inn on US Route 302. It was nothing less than spectacular! There was about a foot of new powder from Thursdays snowstorm in New Hampshire and we snowboarded Bear Peak in fantastic conditions ungroomed powder on many of the trails. It has already snowed another 3 inches this morning and still coming. The White Mountains of New Hampshire often get snow when most of the rest of New England gets rain or less snow. Come enjoy Spring Skiing at the Bartlett Inn located close to Attitash, Bretton Woods, Wildcat, Cranmore and Black Mountains. We have great Spring Ski NH Deals saving you on the room and the lift tickets so call 1 800 292 2353.
What better than a sunny September day to take The Bartlett Inn’s Summer Employee (Ozgur from Turkey!) on a sight seeing day and where better than for a ride up the Mt Washington Auto Road in Pinkham Notch NH. We like the sign that says not a good road to drive if you have a fear of heights at the beginning of the road! A little frightened we put the truck into 1st gear and went for it! What can we say…spectacular views at every turn and the top too! We enjoyed lunch at the canteen and the museum in the bottom of the observatory. One perk of driving up is that you are not limited by the time of the returning coach or cog train. There are many hikes that can be done from the top too! On teh way back to the Bartlett Inn there is nice short hike to Glen Ellis Falls off Route 16 .
Call Bartlett Inn to stay and Innkeepers will check the Mt Washington Weather Observatory Weather Cam and reports for the best visability day to visit the top during your stay. We also offer discount vouchers for the Auto Road saving you $8! Call 1 800 292 2353 Bartlett Inn a great location to visit the Auto Road or the Cog Railway or to hike to the summitt of MT Washington, NH!

This is the first post in Bartlett Innkeeper Nicks series Adventures in the White Mountains of NH: Winter. Share my wilderness experiences as I tell about my hikes in the White Mountains of NH!
I went on a beautiful winter hike on 27th January with two friends of mine Matt and Greg. We went on the 19 mile loop trail ( only 7.8 miles round trip) in Carter Notch Jackson NH – the trail head is just above Wildcat Ski Mountain. The trail was in great shape and we didnt need crampons or snow shoes . I Used Crampons on the way down as I was going solo. Met the Hut master Mike who was studying Pine Martens. The views around the hut looking at the Wildcat mountain and on the other side Carter Dome were spectacular. The lake was frozen and the ice was over 3 feet thick so I felt very safe crossing it. There are a few small exposed areas where you will feel the wind and temp drop – apart from that – a very protected trail. To see more pictures and details of our hike go to the Bartlett Inn Facebook page and become a friend .The Bartlett Inn near Jackson NH is a great base to go out winter hiking. Greg and Matt stayed at the Bartlett Inn Wednesday night to charge up and then spent Thursday night at the Carter Notch Hut and returned to refuel at the Bartlet Inn and do more day hikes with the Bartlett Inn as their base for Ice Climbs at Cathedral Ledge, North Conway, NH and Frankenstein Cliffs Crawford Notch NH.
Innkeepers took an ESSC ski instructing and snowboarding course today at Cranmore Mountain in North Conway New Hampshire. I am happy to report that the mountain was in great condition. Snowconditions were hard packed and I rented some demo skis, Rossignol Bandits, from Heavens Ski Shop in Glen NH on the way to Cranmore from the Bartlett Inn. Great suggestion for the hardpack from Heavens and their rentals start at just $12 per day..doesn’t get any cheaper than that! We are expecting snow tomorrow so come and enjoy some New Hampshire skiing. Bretton woods Had 4 inches yesterday and the White Mountains are looking at another 12inches tomorrow! Come on up Bretton Woods has 2 for 1 lift tickets Wednesdays and Cranmore has Mon-Thurs 2 for 1 lift tickets. Stay at the Bartlett Inn and get a yummy breakfast to start your day along with a great midweek ski deal room rate! 1 800 292 2353

The entire park is transformed into a magical Halloween adventure. There are “spooky” areas for the older children; some “fun” areas for the younger goblins. It’s a treat not to be missed. Shops cater to the Trick or Treaters, and it’s much more fun if you arrive in costume. We also invite those in costume to join in the Silly, Spooky Parade! Even the Silly Helpers are dressed for the occasion. Rides and food shops will be open too. It’s silly. It’s spooky. It’s Halloween at Santa’s Village.
Consider visiting the White Mountains of New Hampshire this Autumn. You can enjoy some late foliage without the crowds of Columbus Day Weekend. The hiking is great, a little foliage adds color and yet since there is less foliage more spectacular views, once blocked by leaves, open up. Mount Washington NH in Crawford Notch and from the North Pinkham Notch NH, has some snow on the peak and what a sight that is! If you prefer a hike to Mt. Reebok, Mt. Nike or Mt. Adidas (LOL), The sales at the Settler’s Green Outlet Stores in North Cownay New Hampshire are Tax FREE and are terrific this time of year. Many bargains can be found as the outlets try to clear their final inventory out for new arrivals. Come relax at the Bartlett Inn and Innkeeper Nick will give you great hiking advice while you enjoy a daily home cooked breakfast.
Halloween is a great time of year to visit the Bartlett Inn near Jackson and North Conway NH. What is there to do….Well ..
Sabbaday Falls New Hampshire a Family Friendly Hike near Bartlett Inn NH
Sabbaday Falls New Hampshire is a Family Friendly Hike near Bartlett Inn NH located 3 miles West of Bear Notch Road on the Kancamangus Highwayy US RTE 112. This is a great hike for youn g and old and handicap and everyone in between as the trail is wood chipped without lots of trippy rocks and large logs across it. There are several benches to rest along the way and for a very little effort these are my favorite Waterfalls in New Hampshire. They are just beautiful from the emerald pool at the bottom to the several flumes and drops along the way…raw power and beauty. Stay at the Bartlett Inn in Bartlett NH as a central place to explore the many stunning WATERFALLS of New Hampshire and the White Mountains. Innkeepers are happy to give you advice and directions depending on the difficulty of the hike you would like to do or if you would prefer to just pull over and snap a few pictures. There are options for all levels of waterfall lovers!
