Family Hike Cave Mountain Bartlett New Hampshire

New Hampshire Family Hike to Cave Mountain is close to the Bartlett Inn Bed & Breakfast and Cottages in Bartlett, NH near Attitash.  The trail head to Cave Mountain can be found on River Street right after crossing the bridge over the Saco River.  You start the hike on the Mt Langdon Trail and then make a hard left about a quarter mile in to go up to Cave Mountain. Here the trail  starts to get steeper and athen very sttep jsut as you reach the cave.  This is a fun plae for kids to explore.  The cave is interesting but not very deep; the kids love the mystery of a cave! There is another 10 minute steep climb up around the cliff face to the top…well worth the view.  You can see right down into Bartlett, Attitash Mountain and Bear Peak too.  The Saco River also appears as a snake across the view! The whole hike takes 30-45 minutes each way.  It is a perfect length, challenge and with a cave and view lots to keep the kids attention!  Stay at the BArtlett Inn 1 800 292 2353 and enjoy a swim in the heated pool after you family hike. The Bartlett Innkeepers are excellent hiking concierges who will hlep ou choose the hike that suitts your families abilites and interests!  Call 1 800 292 2353

time in summer and it was perfect!  We did the Family Friendly White Mountain Hike to Zealand Falls AMC Hut.  It gave a great variety of terrain including forest, streams, bog/swamp, waterfalls and views all the way into the Pemigewassett Wilderness!  This is approx 3 miles long and flat except for the last couple of hundred yards up tot he hut and the falls.  You can also view the falls from below!  We enjoyed out own packed lunch but some of the crew also ate at the hut.  The food was good.  Then the kids filled in a children’s naturalist booklet from the AMC and were sworn in as junior naturalists by an AMC huts man and received a patch!  They were very proud of themselves!  Call and stay at the Bartlett Inn and we will give you great Family friendly hikes in the White Mountains! 1 800 292 2353.
