The Bartlett Inn is the best location I have found to have a long weekend for artists to roam the countryside and paint on location. Nick and Miriam are great artist friendly hosts for the four days. It is centrally located to most of the White Mountains and their varied scenery. Expansive mountain views, rocks and waterfalls, ponds and streams, farms and fields, and the Conway Rail Station are a short drive away.
All skill levels are invited. Artists from around New England and even some from NY City have gathered here twice a year for 8 years. After Nick and Miriam prepare a great breakfast we are off to paint. There is no other schedule because dealing with artists is like herding CATS! Some paint in groups, some alone. I do a demonstration painting for those interested. Sat. evening we have pizza delivered and check out all our paintings.
Prices start from: $178.00 Restrictions: Subject to availability. Price includes 3 nights accommodation, yummy country breakfast daily and Friday/Saturday Art Sessions as per above.

Byron has given his watercolor workshops for twenty years. This is the first one with a main focus of his favorite subject, rocks and waterfalls. You may work on other subjects but at least one waterfall needs to be attempted. He will demonstrate his bold, slopping, splattering, scrubbing, fearless approach to getting the paint on. “I will help you create one or more paintings from your photos. First we design, then plan and paint. And, paint some more.” His instruction style is as enthusiastic as his painting style. You will work on at least one full sheet size from your photos or his. I have the appropriate brushes, palettes and paint for rent (The Right Stuff Kit). Paper will be for sale at cost. Leave your fear at home and come paint. Drawing experience helpful.
A discount on lodging will be given to attendees by the Bartlett Inn where I will be staying. http://www.bartlettinn.com . Also those that stay at the Inn will get $10 off class price.
