See what some of our guests have to say about their experience at the Bartlett Inn
We stayed with Miriam and Nick for the annual MINIs on Top celebration that takes place at Mount Washington in June. Finer hosts you will not find. The room and location are central to incredible hiking and scenic destinations in the Mount Washington area. They have expert knowledge of the local restaurants, scenic locales and provide an outstanding breakfast to start each day. Our room was always immaculate when we returned from our days out and about. The large whirlpool tub in room 2 was pure heaven. We will return again very soon!
That’s how it is, when you do your holidays the spontanous way during high season. You think the next place could be some hiking in the White Mountains, so we checked the Internet for good accomodation, and decided for the Bartlett Inn because of the good comments. We were a bit worried bout the roomsize, but it turned out to be enough space for everything we needed even the wet hiking cloths. Nick and Miriam are not just Innkeepers, they are very good hosts- we felt like family. Whenever we had a question on where to eat, where to hike (away from the tourists), where’s the pharmacy, how’s the weather up Mt Washington, etc. we got best information and full attention. Because of this and the very friendly, warmhearted and funny hosts we enjoyed the White Mountains in an spontaneously extended stay. By the way, breakfast was superb. Nick and Miriam and staff-thx for this enjoyable time at yours
We are regulars at the Bartlett Inn and stayed 5 days this visit. The Bartlett Inn is the perfect location, just 2 miles down the road from Attitash Park and Attitash Zipline! The Inn keeper , Nick even gave us discounted tickets to Attitash Park upon our arrival. This is a great place to stay with a teen and tween who, even though are older wanted to take a walk down memory lane and revisit Storyland. We booked a Storyland package so we got a free Storyland ticket with our stay so that was a great deal. My son likes mountain biking so the innkeeper Nick gave us discounted passed to Great Glen Trails to enjoy the mountain bike trails. There were all levels of riding there so my daughter and I were able to enjoy a leisurely bike ride while my son enjoyed a more adventurous ride. We followed the ride with a nice lunch at the cafe in the base lodge. I highly recommend The Bartlett Inn. It is in a great location. It had a nice pool, great breakfast and super helpful hosts.
We just got home and already looking to go back. The place is awesome. The cottage was exactly as described Small, rustic and perfectly clean. The grounds are also well maintained Only used the pool once and for about 20 minutes. The pool is not huge but perfectly maintained. Breakfast was delicious ,my boyfriend had the juevos rancheros (the days special) and I had eggs and bacon. Bartlett inn has turned my boyfriend onto a new breakfast dish. Oh and the homemade salsa was awesome. The owners are amazing They are friendly, display the best customer service and are so knowledgeable. We were given all the best info on waterfalls and where our fur baby could swim. Thank you for an incredible weekend
On a whim we took a trip to the White Mountains. I impulsively booked this based on reviews and it turned out to be wonderful! It’s easy to find. As soon as you arrive you are greeted by the nicest inn keeper ever! He suggested restaurants and trails to us. We stayed in the Barton Cottage which had a king sized bed. There was an electric wood stove, basic TV, beaten up old dressers (character) and a very nice bathroom. The room was clean and I appreciated the hardwood floors since we were tracking in sand from our hiking boots and it was easy to clean up. They allow dogs here and we enjoyed their company as much as we enjoyed their owners. The pool is plenty big enough, very clean and was plenty warm. We thought the road noise might be a bother at night but it quieted right down. Breakfast was included and quite delicious. The host and his family have a great system and cook everything fresh. Coffee was excellent! We will return and bring our dogs next time. And be sure to eat at White Mountain Cider House. It could compete with the best chef owned restaurants in Boston or any city. Great time had by all!
Stopped by the inn for the night and stayed in an upstairs room. Very comfortable and and clean. The owner Nick was friendly and the hot breakfast was wonderful. It was like staying in your family’s place. Give this spot a try! Great for kids too with the pool and play area
Absolutely adorable BnB. The owners are extremely courteous and accommodating. During the complementary breakfast they offered to plan out the day for us according to what we wanted. Rooms are cozy and snug with nice bedding and decent bathroom. You get a lot more than what you pay for, will definitely visit again!
Very nice, quaint and clean cottages. Breakfast is homemade and delicious. Nick and his wife are great hosts, and give good recommendations on what to do in the area. After a day of hiking, you can enjoy the pool (kids loved it). Refreshing ! Also, very centrally located in the White Mountains.
We had a wonderful time and would definitely return to the Bartlett Inn. We stayed in the Barn Suite with our two boys and it was the perfect size, very clean and comfortable. The boys want to repeat the trip and stay in the same room. It being our first visit to the area, we didn’t know what to expect but the whole trip surpassed our expectations. We plan to make it an annual event and would definitely return to the Inn.
One word – wonderful! First time at a B&B and we will definitely return. I called Nick at least 3 different times before I booked the room with lots of questions. What made my decision was his response to this question: What makes your B&B different from any other hotel? His answer was “Here you are not just a room number”. So true! From the moment we arrived, my entire family was addressed by name. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I can honestly say that in 3 short days, we made new friends. They take hospitality to a whole new level.
I recently stayed at the Bartlett in with my almost 4 year old son for a 2 night stay. I was a little nervous upon arrival as we have always stayed in larger resorts/hotels and the Inn was very quiet – and my son is quite loud! But the owners and guests were great and the environment was so home-like. It was actually nice for my son to slow down and enjoy the peace.
Beautiful grounds – great hospitality – friendly for dogs – great hiking advice and those huevos rancheros – were delicious!!
Thanks for a great stay we will be back with our bicycles in the fall.
