Cross Country Skiing New Hampshire is a tradition at the Bartlett Inn. Bartlett New Hampshire is located in the heart of the White Mountains and is a perfect location to enjoy 5 different Nordic Ski Trail systems. You can ski right out the back door on our connector trail to Bear Notch Nordic Ski Network. Bear Notch Cross Country Ski Touring Center is located less than 1/4 mile west of the Bartlett Inn right on Us Route 302. When you stay at the Bartlett Inn you receive complimentary Cross Country Ski, Snow Shoe and Tubing Passes to Great Glen Trails. For a different adventure take the Snow Cat up Mount Washington Auto Road and then Cross Country Ski or Snow Shoe Down to Great Glen Trails. The views are spectacular!
Close to the famous Jackson Cross Country Ski Network (Jackson Ski Touring Foundation), guests have direct trail access to the less famous but best kept secret in New England Cross Country Skiing and Snow Shoeing: The Bear Notch Ski Touring Network of Trails, 70km+ of groomed trails extending into the National Forest and along the Saco River. They also have a warming hut with fresh baked bread, soup and snacks at very reasonable prices!
Snowshoeing can be done on any of the cross country ski trail networks. We recommend that you rent the snowshoes and then snowshoe on one of the many New Hampshire hiking Trails for FREE! Innkeepers are happy to recommend trails to meet you needs including distance and elevation gain for all abilities and views, waterfalls to enjoy the scenery!
